House System

At Gainesville, we have 6 houses. All students and staff are placed in a house. Established in 2022, the house system is designed to help foster a positive school climate and culture. It is a way for staff to acknowledge the many ways students excel and an opportunity for students to belong and contribute. 

Staff will find ways to acknowledge students who are going above and beyond,  giving an average of 25 points a week. Students will not receive points for meeting expectations. Staff also have opportunities to earn points for their houses. Points are only added, never taken away.

At the end of each academic quarter, a winner will be announced and that house will be celebrated during lunch early in the next quarter. Near the end of the year, in May, the overall winner for the year will have a larger scale celebration.
