Welcome to the 3rd MP:

1/24: Quiz on AR verbs on 1/28. You will hear the verbs in English and will be asked to write them in Spanish. You have the list.

1/24: TEST on the Ar verbs. You will write your own sentences with the 10 AR verbs given to you. You were asked to write sample sentences and run them by me in class. This is a non-retable test so study and prepare. The test is on Friday 1/31.

1/30: Get the AR verb quiz signed and corrected by 2/3. Write down every mistake 3 times with its meaning in English. Use your notes.

1/31: Flashcards - adjectives list. You can do them in Quizlet.

2/3: Study the family vocabulary. Test on Friday. Test corrections due 2/5.

2/3: If you got a D or F in the last test, please stay after school on Wednesday so I can go over the material with you and you can retake it. This is a mandatory session if you want to retake.

2/3: Extra Project: "Sing a song". You will sing the song Vivir mi Vida by Mark Anthony. You must clear with me the two/three verses that you are singing. You must know what you are saying. You have to have an instrumental version of the song...no words.
You have until 3/2.

2/7: Quiz ER verbs. I will say the verb in English and you will write it in Spanish. There are 20 verbs. You have the list. Be prepared.

2/7: Test on expressing what people do using ER verbs on 2/18. You will write your own sentences with the 9 regular ER verbs and 1 with Tener using all pronouns. This test is a non retake able as you have 100% control over your preparation. Make sure you are ready.

2/7: Finish the handout given in classwork by Monday 2/10. Handout is posted on Files&Docs: "Verbos ER practica traducir"

2/12: Test on expressing what people do using ER verbs on 2/18. You will write your own sentences with the 9 regular ER verbs and 1 with Tener using all pronouns. This test is a non retake able as you have 100% control over your preparation. Make sure you are ready.

2/13: Finish your classwork "Verbos ER Practice" handout found in Files & Docs.#1-20. Copy the entire question.

2/18: Conjugate each irregular verb (10) with all 10 pronouns. Include the code/rule. Example:
1. Entender: Boot verb / e changes to ie

yo   entiendo               Nosotros entendemos
Tú  entiendes               Vosotros entendeis
el/ella/Ud.  entiende     Ellos/ellas/Uds. entienden

2/19: Answer the first 10 questions in Spanish in complete sentences. The handout is in Files & Docs "Practice Preguntas con Verbos ER".

2/20: Answer the last 10 questions from the handout mentioned above.

2/21: Test on Irregular ER verbs on Monday 2/24. You write your own sentences. No RETAKES

2/24: Create flashcards for IR verbs and their codes (irregular ones). Quiz on Verbs is on Friday 2/28

2/25: Study your IR list of verbs with irregularities.

2/26: Finish translating the questions with IR verbs from the handout. Go to #10 only. Study your IR list of verbs with irregularities. The quiz on IR verbs is on 4/28.

2/27: Test Expressing what people do with Irregular verbs signed and corrected due by 2/28.

2/28: Test: Expressing what people do with IR verbs on 3/4. Write down a sentence with each IR verb. Make sure you use all the pronouns at least once.

3/2: Finish answering the questions from the handout in class. Copy the question and answer in complete sentences. The handout is in Files and Docs.

3/6: Test on Likes and dislikes will be on Thursday or Friday depending on SOL testing. Express likes/ dislikes (for you and other family members) for activities and things. You have two handouts and many examples to choose from or create your own. You choose to take the exam in writing or orally.

3/9: The test on Likes or Dislikes will be on Friday 3/13. There is a handout on Files and Docs. that you can use to practice. WE will go over those examples in class between SOL testing.

3/9: BENCHMARK EXAMS will start on 3/18.

BENCHMARK information:

WRITING EXAM: 3/18 (or as soon as classes resume)
You will be asked to write an essay about your family. Include the following:
-Introduction about yourself
-How many people are there in your family
-Who are those people (titles)
-Describe 3 people in your family: 2 physical traits and 1 character trait per person
-Say what each of those people like/dislike to do
-Say what each of those people like/dislike (things)
-Say what you like to do on the weekends
-Say what you like/dislike (things)
-Closing

I will be using the PALS Rubric, which can be found in Files and Docs. You should practice writing this essay many times. Use your notes and vocabulary lists.
