Hey all!  I have posted this weeks Health and PE assignments! They are to the LEFT in the "AT HOME WORK" folder. It is titled WORK AT HOME JUNE 8-12th



Work from home Health and Physical Education

Assignments will be posted on Monday’s at 8:30 am on your teacher’s school messenger page. Please go to your teacher’s team page, click on files and documents and click under the Work at Home folder to view your weekly assignments.

 

There will be 4 activities assigned a week. You may choose to do them all during our designated time on Monday’s from 8:30-10:00 am or you can choose to spread them out during the week.

 

Activity 1 – will always be TABATA and Cardiovascular Endurance (just like our normal PE routine)

Health Reading Assignment – There will be an article or PowerPoint for you read through to review topics from health class.

Activity 2 – will vary each week from a dance, to an activity, to a fitness exercise

Health Writing Assignment – This will vary from a journal activity, to answering questions, to working on an assignment (poster, pamphlet, etc.)

 

If you have any questions office hours will be every Thursday from 12:00 – 1:30pm

 

If you turn in assignments that show you have mastered a standard you grade may be updated to reflect the mastery of the standard.

AT HOME WORK FOLDER
- There is a link on the LEFT of this page titled "AT HOME WORK"  There you will find some workouts, and a fitness log..... this is OPTIONAL at this time. Feel free to try out some workouts and log them!  

GRADES - Please double check on your grades and make sure there are no NHI's from prior to 3/12/20. If you have any, they are from work assigned prior to 3/12. If you have any grade questions or issues, please email me at Grinnedp@pwcs.edu
PLEASE reach out to me with any questions or concerns.  Please remember there is no new graded/assigned work from after 3/12 at this time.

Hello!  My name is Mr. Grinnell and I teach Health and Physical Education at Gainesville Middle School!  I am originally from Syracuse, NY and this is my 11th year in Prince William County and I am also the Director of Athletics here at school.  In my free time I love to golf (last summer I had my first hole-in-one!!!), play basketball, and stay active any way I can!   I'm looking forward to working with you this year making you healthier in mind and body!

Class Materials

*All students will need workout gear on a daily basis.
*Students can bring in their own work out gear but I ask that it stays consistent. Ex- Same navy blue shirt and same black mesh shorts every day for PE class.
*All students need proper footwear. Ex- shoes that tie with a rubber sole.
*If students would like to purchase a lock for their locker it is $1 for the year. Combinations will be written inside student’s agenda. Locking their lockers is their personal responsibility. GVMS is not responsible for any unlocked items.
