Remember the Rules
Hello my wonderful, talented, energetic, 8th grade students.  I hope, above all, that all is well with you and with your families.  Here are some  academic instructions and guidelines for you to for the duration of the school year.  Any changes to instruction can be found here as well.

- Students may work on assignments assigned and due prior to March 12. (Since we have just           completed our Writing SOL, there were no outstanding assignments except those that may have     been missed due to being absent.
- Any due dates for any outstanding assignments due to being absent are extended to April 14.
- The end of Marking Period 3 has been extended to April 17.
- No new units or assignments should be done at this time.
- All work is OPTIONAL.

Work on practices based on standards that we have already covered -
I will post assignments weekly on NoRedInk and Teams AND/OR you may follow the links that I have provided under WORK FROM HOME to practice some of the grammar/writing skills we have learned this year

When you receive your essays back, you may make an appointment with me to discuss a redo if you want to improve your grade.  I will meet individually with you to give your instructions.

Read.  Keep reading.  Write about what you've read.  Take care of yourselves and stay healthy.  I miss you all very much.

This year we'll be focusing on the four pillars: Reading, Writing, Communication, and Research.  We'll be exploring lots of fiction and non-fiction texts, writing our hearts out, and finding a way to make Language Arts both fun and interesting!
