1st period: 1:30-1:45

5th period: 2:30-2:45

WEEK OF 4/13/2020 Lesson Plan

  1. Read daily.

  2. Read and review the Poetry/Figurative Language Notes (look in the WORK AT HOME folder on my webpage).

  3. For this week's lesson, please go to https://share.nearpod.com/vsph/Fr1cb81bNu  to complete the Nearpod Activities. The PIN code is: TNXPE.   If you need the BrainPOP login, it is Username: gainesvillemiddle, Password: hawks.

  4. Please go to the WORK AT HOME folder to find the Figurative Language Quilt.  This can be done after the Nearpod activity. Print the sheet and have fun writing and drawing examples of each type of figurative language. To share with me, you can take a picture of the sheet and email it, but that is not required if you aren't able to do that step. Some of you might want to hang it on your fridge, and share it with your family instead! I would love to see it, though.

  5. Don’t forget that you can keep a weekly journal, diary, or log as well. I will offer feedback and can comment back to you on your logs if you share it with me on Microsoft 365. Share logs to: taylorak@pwcs.edu. You can continue to update your already existing reading log/journal if you wish.

  6. Reminder: Use the Epic! Reading app to read books of your choice.  Our class code is: btc5711.

  7. I will have “office hours” when I am immediately available to go over anything every Thursday, from 1:30-2:00 via TEAMS, in your Office 365 account. Just click the waffle in the left corner. Click TEAMS. Find our class. Specific office hours are as follows:

1st period: 1:30-1:45

2nd period: 1:50-2:05

4th period: 2:10-2:25

5th period: 2:30-2:45

I am available by email any other time, but Office Hours is for more immediate responses.
