Things to prepare for your audition:

  1. A one minute, MEMORIZED monologue, of your choice.Choose something of interest to you which shows us your speaking abilities; inflection, use of accents, speak loudly and confidently! You should act out your monologue as if you are that character. If you need some examples of monologues, see Mrs. Hyde in Drama Room.
  2. Prepare:Girls – “Let It GoBoys: “In Summer’Boys and Girls “Love is an Open Door”

 Things to know:

  1. When you are finished auditioning, you may leave, as long as you have a ride.
  2. NEVER leave or come into the room, talk, or be disrespectful, while someone else is auditioning.
  3. Make sure you know your parent’s e-mail addresses for the application.

Rehearsals (practices) will be announced, but will more than likely be M, Tu, W, Th or a combination of them, 3 days a week from 3:00 – 5:30, with the option of going till 6:00 some days.

The weeks leading up to show week, tech week, and the shows, of course, are !!!MANDATORY!!!

The shows will be APRIL 16, 17 & 18, 2020 at 7:00PM and a matinee on Sat the 18th at 2:00PM.

Schedules will be handed out once the cast is chosen. NOT all cast will need to be there all days, depending upon which scenes we are working on. But you MUST be available should the needs change. All information will come out through emails from Ms. Pannebecker so be sure to check yours often.

If you are chosen for the cast, you WILL NEED to consider what other after school activities you are currently in or may want to get involved in as they may NOT!!! interfere in our stated rehearsal dates and times. We also ask that you make any appointments outside of the practice days, if at all possible. These days are very valuable when preparing the many facets of music & theatre.  When we are missing people due to activities, sickness, (which we know can’t be helped) or appointments, we need to rely on others to fill in which makes it extremely difficult for others to act.  Please consider these things when you audition to make sure that you can devote your time. THIS IS A COMMITMENT!!! Finally, you must keep up your grades in order to remain in the cast!

We look forward to seeing you at auditions!  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask

Ms. Melendez, Mrs. Hyde, Mr. Peters, or Mrs. Stacey Pannebecker.
