April 16 Update:

We met virtually by class period today and it was GREAT to see and hear from so many of you!  In case anyone was unable to attend, here is a recap of what we discussed (much is already included in the previous update):

The closing date for the grade book has been extended to
April 24.  All make up and retake work must be completed by this date.

Office Hours are on Tuesdays from 12pm - 1:30pm.  I will be available through email at that time to answer any questions, provide feedback on any assignments you have completed, or provide any additional support that may be needed (although you may email me at any time).

Virtual Science Class (Review instruction & Student Learning Time) will take place Thursdays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. These review lessons will be recorded and posted so that if you cannot watch and participate during the slotted time you can do them at your convenience.  After the review lesson there will be 2 or 3 accompanying assignments for the students to choose from.  It is intended that students attempt to spend 90 minutes a week (total time) on the review lesson and accompanying assignment. This time can be used at the students convenience and does not necessarily need to be done during this time frame (the reason for the recorded lessons).  These lessons will be posted in the "At Home Work" folder within the "Files and Documents" section of the messenger page.

A reminder that these lessons are highly recommended but not required.  The health (both physical and mental) of students and their family should be the first priority.

As always, fell free to reach out with any questions or concerns,

Mrs. Zumbaugh

April 13 Update:

Find your class period, it is a string of numbers (2 sets of six numbers, followed by a 1, 2, 3, or 7.  The 1, 2, 3, or 7 are the class periods) and click to open.

At the bottom of the screen, look for the video camera icon and click on it, then click Meet/Join Now.

Going Forward, April 20 and Beyond:

I will have office hours via email on Tuesdays from 12:00 - 1:30 pm.  Although you can email me at any time, during this block of time I will be available to answer any questions, provide support, whatever else you may need.

Lastly, the time to retake and make up missed work has been extended to April 24. If you would like to improve your grade please check the grade book and see what you could make up or retake then reach out to me and we can work out a plan.

I look forward to seeing you on Thursday, and as always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns:

Mrs. Zumbaugh

As per PWCS, at this time no new work is being assigned or graded.  However, you are encouraged to check out the links in the "At Home Review Work" folder within the  "Files and Documents" section and review any of the past units we have covered.  There are a lot of fun links for each of the learning targets.

Students now have access to IXL for Science using their already established user name and password for math (and I see some of you have already done so!).  This is another fun way to review and stay on top of your science skills!

Everyone should look at their grades in student portal and see if they have any missing assignments or wish to retake a test.  Due dates have been extended to April 14 so you have an opportunity to try to bring your grade up if you wish.  If you wish to retake something or turn in a missing assignment please email me so we can work out just how this can be done.

Please email me with any questions or concerns
