Attention CURRENT NJHS Members -

Due to the school, business and community closures, you may include household "service" projects for your Quarter 3 service hours. These hours must be signed off by your parents and can include helping your parents around the house. As a reminder, you CANNOT be getting paid for these "service" hours.

2019-2020 and 2020-2021Selection Process:

Attention all 8th grade students that applied to NJHS:
Due to the school closures, your status as an NJHS member is PENDING! You will receive acceptance/denial letters when we return to school.

7th Grade Students:
We will be working with the office to get your cumulative GPA's once Quarter 3 is over. Once we have your GPA, you will be able to apply for NJHS for the 2020-2021 school year.

**More info to follow, pending information on school closures and the end of Marking Period 3**

The goal of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character. NJHS membership is offered to all 7th and 8th grade students who meet the GPA requirement (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6) at the end of the third quarter of the school year. Students who meet the GPA requirement will be provided with the NJHS application. Students must submit a complete application, which will then be reviewed by a faculty committee. Students who are accepted for NJHS membership will be inducted in a ceremony held at the end of the fourth quarter.
